Jacqueline Culmo Ajello, wife of the late Carl Ajello, former Attorney General passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025. She is survived by her daughter, Michele C. Mount and her husband Michael Mount, and son, Carl R. Ajello III and his wife Tracy Ajello. She is also survived by his grandchildren, Dylan Mount, Jackson Ajello, and Jessica Mount.
Jacqueline known as Jackie, was born in the city of Ansonia, Connecticut, on January 13, 1935, to Michael and Mary Culmo. She attended public schools in Ansonia, graduated from Ansonia High School, and took classes at The University of Bridgeport. She married Carl on June 11, 1955.
In her early days Jackie was very involved in politics and the Ansonia Jaycees. She was a New Haven County Women’s Bowling Association Director and received a superior performance award in 1985, when she was inducted into the New Haven County United State Bowling Congress Hall of Fame. She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed playing golf and other sports.
Jackie, will be remembered as a fun-loving person who loved her family, and enjoyed her many friends and participating in local community events. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8th from 9am-10:30am at The Bennett Funeral Home located at 91 N Cliff St in Ansonia, CT 06401. The funeral service will be held immediately after the calling hours at 11 am, at The Holy Rosary Church located at 10 Father Salemi Dr, Ansonia, CT 06401.
