SHELTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT INCIDENT RESPONSES

On 7/13/25 at 7:40 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. # 1 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at Hilton Garden Inn at #25 Old Stratford Road. There was no fire.
On 7/13/25 at 7:50 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #15 Snowberry Lane for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.
On 7/13/25 at 12:58 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an odor investigation at #15 Long Hill Avenue.
On 7/13/25 at 2:12 pm the White Hills Co. #5, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a structure fire at #76 Birchbank Road. Upon arrival firefighters found a two-story home engulfed in fire. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 45 minutes but not before the fire destroyed most of the house and its contents. Firefighters remained on the scene overnight to prevent a rekindle. One occupant of the home sustained an injury and was transported to the hospital by EMS. One firefighter was also injured while fighting the fire in the extreme hot weather and was also transported to the hospital. Another occupant was safely out of the house. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.

On 7/14/25 at 3:12 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at The Helen DeVaux Housing Complex at #91 Howe Avenue. There was no fire.
On 7/14/25 at 9:39 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at the Ripton Housing Complex at #423 Howe Avenue. There was no fire.
On 7/14/25 at 11:45 am the Huntington Co. #3 responded to the area of #11 Moose Hill Road for an electrical hazard outside.
On 7/14/25 at 4:01 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at Sinsabaugh Heights #187 Meadow Street. There was no fire.
On 7/14/25 at 7:28 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of #85 Williams Street.
On 7/15/25 at 10:38 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. # 1 responded to a motor vehicle accident at the Webster Bank #506 Shelton Avenue where a vehicle drove into the entrance doors of the building.
On 7/15/25 at 10:57 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on Long Hill Avenue at Laurel Wood Drive.
On 7/15/25 at 4:05 pm the White Hills Co. #5 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to a report of a drowning at the Indian Well State Park #1 Indian Well Road.
On 7/15/25 at 6:06 pm the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a public service call at the Indian Well State Park #1 Indian Well Road.
On 7/15/25 at 6:26 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to an electrical hazard outside #64 Kneen Street.
On 7/15/25 at 10:57 pm the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at #2 Lagana Lane. There was no fire.
On 7/15/25 at 11:34 pm the Echo Hose Co. # 1 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to a fire alarm activated at #5 Lake Road.
On 7/15/25 at 11:43 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a motor vehicle accident on River Road near Belmont Avenue.

On 7/16/25 at 11:55 pm the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. # 1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at Key Bank #704 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire.
On 7/16/25 at 2:50 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at #70 Platt Road. There was no fire.
On 7/16/25 at 4:11 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. # 1 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at Hilton Garden Inn at #25 Old Stratford Road. There was no fire.
On 7/16/25 at 6:06 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to a communication line down in the road on Kanungum Trail.
On 7/17/25 at 8:09 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm activated at #7 Brae Loch Way. There was no fire.
On 7/17/25 at 8:20 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to #12 Maple Street for a public service call.
On 7/17/25 at 3:15 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. # 1 responded to a motor vehicle accident on route 8 north bound between exits 9 & 11.
On 7/17/25 at 2:38 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an odor investigation at #21 Pawtucket Avenue.
On 7/17/25 at 11:50 pm the Huntington Co. #3 responded to an animal rescue at #895 Bridgeport Avenue.
On 7/18/25 at 10:02 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to #55 Soundridge Drive for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.
On 7/18/25 at 10:04 am the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to #108 Morningside Court to assist EMS.
On 7/18/25 at 6:48 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. # 1 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at #41 Church Street. There was no fire.
On 7/19/20 at 9:38 am the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a structure fire at #27 Maler Avenue. Upon arrival firefighters found heavy smoke coming from the two story one family home. Both occupants were safely out of the home. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 20 minutes but not before the fire gutted the basement area. The remainder of the home sustained smoke, heat and water damage. There were no injuries, The American Red Cross responded to aid the occupants who were not able to live in the home due to the damage. Shelton EMS also responded. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office.
On 7/19/25 at 12:05 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at #182 Stonehenge Drive. There was no fire.
On 7/19/25 at 2:10 pm the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded back to #27 Maler Avenue for a rekindle from the previous fire.
On 7/19/25 at 2:28 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at #410 Howe Avenue. There was no fire.
On 7/19/25 at 3:48 pm the Huntington Co. #3, Echo Hose Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a on odor of smoke in the building at #48 Huntington Plaza.
On 7/19/25 at 4:05 pm the Pine Rock Co. #4 and the Echo Hose Co. #1 responded to the Wooster Island on Housatonic River for a report of a boat in distress.
On 7/19/25 at 4:50 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at #292 Coram Avenue. There was no fire.
On 7/19/25 at 5:46 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose Co. # 1 responded to an automatic fire alarm activated at #67 Heather Ridge condos. There was no fire.

On 7/20/25 at 4:02 am the Pine Rock Co. #4 responded to #26 Sharon Court for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.
