Nicholas Berrios, Jr. age 53 of Seymour, beloved husband of Ada Rosa-Berrios, entered peaceful rest on Thursday, August 28, 2025 in Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on September 28, 1971, he was the son of Nicholas Berrios, Sr. and Naida (Rivera) Baez.

A drug and alcohol counselor for the CT Dept. of Corrections, Nick was a steadfast friend and aid to those wanting help through difficult times. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York, but was very proud of his Puerto Rican heritage. An avid Disney lover, Nick created countless cherished memories with his family in the most magical place on earth.

He was also an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the NY Mets and NY Giants. Nick found freedom and peace riding his Harley Davidson trike along with Ada, and spending time with his brothers of Da Click MCC. Nick loved sharing in the simple, everyday moments with his family and friends, and especially found so much happiness being with his adored grandson, Atticus, the little boy who made him a grandfather. He looked forward to their night time Face Time calls, watching Atticus’ face light up on the screen – a ritual that meant the world to him. Nick will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, and wife Ada of 10 years, survivors include his loving daughter, Samantha K. Berrios and her companion Jacob; siblings, David Rodriguez and his wife Jasmine, Michael Berrios and his wife Sharon, and Angie Baez-Lamothe and her husband Phil; his cherished grandson, Atticus; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins, as well as his beloved canine companion, Icarus. Nick was predeceased by his step-son, Johnathan Espada.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 11am DIRECTLY in Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 W. Church St., Seymour, CT 06483. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
