Mark “Par” Celone, age 59, a lifelong resident of Derby, peacefully entered eternal rest on September 18, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of thirty-one years to his high school sweetheart Kimberly (Roberts) Celone. He was the most loving father to his daughters Alyssa and Nicole.
Born in Derby on April 20, 1966, he was the son of the late Joseph and Victoria (Bialecki) Celone. Mark was employed as a copier and printer technician.
In his younger years, he attended St. Mary’s Grammar School in Derby and was an altar boy at St. Mary’s Church. He graduated from Derby High School, Class of 1984.
Mark was extremely handy and could fix almost anything. He took great pride in his yard and was meticulous about keeping it beautiful.
Mark endured a brave and courageous battle with cancer for 10 years. Everyone knew him as a fighter. He amazed his doctors and made history at Yale. He fought all he could to be here with his family and his strength will never be forgotten.
Spending quality time with loved ones and making lasting memories was most important to Mark. His lovingness to his family, intelligence, sharp wit, stubbornness, laughs, and jokes will be missed by all who knew him.
He was the strongest person and always wore a smile on his face no matter what he was going through. Mark always made special time for loving pets who brought him so much joy.
His absence will be felt by his fur babies Teddy, JJ, Gary, and Callie that he spent each day with. He will be missed by his grand-fur babies Walter, Mitsy, and Bee, that he treasured.
Mark leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Kimberly Celone of Derby, daughters, Alyssa Mae Celone of Derby, and Nicole Victoria Celone of Derby, brothers, Ralph Celone (Lisa) of Thomaston and Steve Celone (Carol) of Derby, and sister, Geri Fama (Tony) of Derby, along with several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
