Joanne Elliott, age 78, of Seymour peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday September 23, 2025 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hartford, on May 17, 1947 the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Onofrio) Fiorillo. She spent her working career as both a hairdresser and a waitress and always enjoyed being around others. Outside of work she enjoyed country line dancing and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter Tina Monck and her husband Daniel, her grandchildren Jill Helems and her husband Nico, Zachary Monck, her great grandchild Luc Helems, and her dear partner Al Henderson. She was predeceased by her siblings Mary Jane Urban, Mark Fiorillo, August “Chick” Fiorillo, and Betty Guiluzza.
Friends are invited to greet Joanne’s family on Monday September 29 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Joseph Church, 420 Coram Ave. Shelton. Burial will be privately held with her immediate family.
