Samantha Ann (Mercado) Woodcock, age 38, of Seymour, loving wife for 12 years of Chuck Woodcock, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born September 20, 1987, in New York, NY, beloved daughter of Casto Mercado (Madeline Perez) and Yvonne Figueroa Tomlinson (James).
An avid gamer, she enjoyed spending time online with her community of friends on PlayStation. Sam also was a huge Boston Celtics fan, cheering them on any chance she could get. Most notably, she spent every waking moment spoiling her four-legged baby, her dog Buffy.
Along with her husband and parents, Sam is survived by her paternal grandmother Margarita Mercado and maternal grandmother Sylvia Figueroa, her brother Scott Anthony Mercado and his wife Veronica, as well as her in-laws Chuck Woodcock and his wife Corey, and Cyndie Fielder and her husband Ken.
Friends and family may show their support during calling hours on Sunday, October 19, from 12 to 3 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton. A funeral service will be held on Monday Oct. 20, 2025 in the funeral home at 11 a.m.
