Marilyn (Bosek) Ciaccio, age 88 of Shelton, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday October 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 15, 1936 to Edward and Elvira Bosek. Marlyn was predeceased by the love of her life, George, to whom she had been married for 63 years before his death in 2019. Marilyn graduated from Brooklyn College and married shortly thereafter.

Marilyn was the straight woman to George’s funny antics. Together they raised 5 children, moving with the family as George was transferred to various locations through Esso/Exxon. Marilyn worked as a secretary at MBI and then in real estate. She volunteered in Cub Scouts, Birthright, and as a Pre-Cana minister at Our Lady of Fatima. She also worked in the family computer business, GEM Computers. Marilyn enjoyed traveling, reading, cooking, family dinners, tennis, and time with her grandchildren.

Family always came first and she was the organizer of yearly family vacations and many memories were created with her grandchildren in Vermont and LBI, NJ. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She attended their recitals, sports games, and had many group sleepovers to ensure they grew up together.

Marilyn maintained many friendships over the years in all the communities she lived including Elmont, Delmar, and New City, NY; Houston, TX; Wilton and Shelton, CT. She was a devoted Catholic and active in her local parish. Marilyn lived her life based on family, faith, and service. Along with loving memories of family gatherings and vacations on the Jersey Shore and Vermont, Marilyn leaves behind her three beloved sons and two daughters, George, Charles (Nancy), Edward (Debra), Nancy (Keith) O’Hara and Ellen (Chuck) Smith; 11 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Marilyn was also predeceased by her parents and younger brother Edward Bosek.

Her family will be forever grateful to the staff at Wellspring at Brightview Senior Living in Shelton. This was mom’s home for the last 6 years of her life and she was so loved.

Friends are invited to greet the family on Friday October 17 from 9 AM to 10:15 AM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road Shelton, CT. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave. Shelton, CT.
