Christine C. Hayes, 74, of Shelton entered into eternal rest on Tuesday Oct. 28, in her home. She is the widow of William Hayes. B
orn in Derby daughter of the late Joseph A. and Agnes (Ahearn) Clapes. She was a communicant of the Church of the Assumption and retired from Cooperative Education Services (CES).
She is survived by her brothers Alan (Mary Lou) Clapes and James Clapes (predeceased by his wife Betty) both of Shelton grandchildren Jordan, Ethan, Jacob, and Dylan niece Nicole and nephews Jeff and Tim. She is predeceased by her husband Bill sons Jeremy Hayes Ph.D Jared Hayes and Jason Hayes.
A memorial mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday Nov. 3 at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of the Assumption 23 N. Cliff St. Ansonia Burial will be in Mt. St. Cemetery. Bennett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
