ANSONIA — A 21-year-old man was charged Oct. 25 with assaulting a police officer.
The suspect, George Suazo, of Seymour, is also charged with second-degree breach of peace.
According to a statement from police, officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the parking lot outside Target on West Main Street on Oct. 3. Suazo is accused of attacking one of the responding officers.
He was charged after police obtained a warrant for his arrest.
He is free on a $25,000 bond pending a Nov. 7 court date in Superior Court in Derby.
