Shirley Singh, the daughter of Maya and Nathaniel Singh, passed at Griffin Hospital on November 11, 2025 after a brief battle with her illness. She was born in 1946 in Kotputli Rajasthan, India.
She was of Christian faith and an active supporter of St. Andrews Church in India. Shirley had degrees of BA, MA, and Master of Library Science and was a devoted licensed Librarian.
She was the youngest of 8 siblings. In 2000, she came to America with her green card to be with family. She is survived by her husband Sunny Singh, whom she married in 1964, her children Sumit Singh and Suzana James, and her grandchildren Alisha and Austin James.
Shirley’s loving spirit and dedication to her family will deeply missed by all who knew her.
Friends are invited to pay their respects at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. Her funeral service will begin in the parlor at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
