Anthony J. Pedenski, age 84, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. He was the beloved husband of twenty-nine years to the late Patricia Anne (Currid) Pedenski (1998).
Together they were devoted to the light of their lives, their daughter, Lisa. She predeceased them in February 1991. Tony was a lifelong resident of Derby, born on August 3, 1941, to the late Anthony S. Pedenski (2003) and Mary (Migacz) Pedenski (2009).
He was an exceptional athlete playing football and baseball at Derby High School and later went on to become an accomplished golfer. He loved sports, people, and a little gambling, enjoying trips to Foxwoods when he had the time. Tony was employed in maintenance at the former Marshall Lane Manor in Derby for twenty-four years until his retirement. He was a devout Catholic with deep respect for the church and belief in an all-knowing God.
He recently lost his sister, Teresa Kasch (April 2025) and is survived by cousins, Michael Pedenski, Sandra Gawkowski (Jay), Paul Pedenski (Marie) and Marilyn Zavolka (Bob), as well as close friends Richard Dziekan and Sherry Tutillo. Tony leaves behind a number of Currid family members in W. Lothian Scotland.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 9:00-10:30 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. His funeral will then proceed to St. Michael’s Church in Derby for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
