SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from Nov. 17, 2025 through Nov. 23, 2025.

Seymour police received 315 calls for service and made three arrests.

NOV. 17, 2025

12:27 a.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver at Rimmon and Clinton roads.

2:51 a.m. An employee from Henny Penny gas station/convenience store told police a man was loitering inside the store and refused to leave. An officer drove the man to the Tri-Town Plaza where the man was meeting his ride home.

12:40 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident at River Street and Derby Avenue.

3:53 p.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on Bank Street.

5:27 p.m. A caller told police he struck and killed a cat on North Street.

NOV. 18, 2025

12:24 a.m. Police conducted stop sign enforcement at Bank and Wakeley streets.

7:42 a.m. A caller told police someone in a silver Lexus was driving erratically near Great Hill and Fountain Lake roads. Police said the car was gone upon their arrival.

7:45 a.m. A Cedar Street resident reported that someone smashed the window of her van and stole $300 worth of tools.

7:56 a.m. A caller told police that two black and white dogs were running in and out of traffic on Cogwheel Lane. Police were unable to catch the dogs and contacted the animal control officer.

5:37 p.m. A caller told police an intoxicated man was walking in the road on Emma Street. An officer said the man refused medical treatment and walked home.

11:36 p.m. A Moss Avenue resident told police someone was at the town dog park after hours. Police said the person and their dog were gone upon their arrival.

NOV. 19, 2025  

8:55 a.m. A Meadow Street resident old police someone opened her Amazon packages and stole some of the items inside.

2:16 p.m. A Colony Road resident told police someone stole his front license plate.

4:56 p.m. Police were called to a residence on Buckingham Road for a medical emergency.

6:57 p.m. A caller reported a deer with a possible leg injury was seen near the commuter parking lot on Derby Avenue. Police said the deer was gone upon their arrival.

11:54 p.m. Police conducted a safety check around the Silvermine Industrial Park.

NOV. 20, 2025

1:17 a.m. Police set up speed enforcement on Roosevelt Drive and Jefferson Street.

5:59 a.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver on Cedar Street.

7:52 a.m. A Colony Road resident told police a possible sink hole was forming in the area. Police notified the Department of Public Works.

10:12 a.m. Police set up radar on Cedar Street.

11:23 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at South Main Street and Bryson Avenue.  

10:40 p.m. Police charged a 21-year-old Seymour man with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, following too closely, causing unnecessary noise, operating a motor vehicle with illegally obstructed or tinted windows and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

NOV. 21, 2025

9:25 a.m. Police issued an infraction to a driver at Wakeley and Main streets.

9:49 a.m. Police were called to a residence at the Balance Rock apartments for a medical emergency.

12:01 p.m. Police set up radar on Colony Road for about 30 minutes. No motor vehicle stops were made. 

5:25 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident with injuries reported at Wakeley and Main streets.

8:58 p.m. Police charged a 61-year-old Seymour man with disorderly conduct.

NOV. 22, 2025

3:09 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident in the parking lot of Oxford Hair Academy on North Street. No injuries were reported.

3:31 p.m. A caller told police a large bumper was in the middle of the road near Webster Bank on New Haven Road (Route 67). An officer said the bumper was removed from the road.

4:51 p.m. A Squantuck Road resident told police two large, stray dogs were roaming on her property. The animal control officer was able to locate one of the dogs and took it to the animal shelter.  

7:30 p.m. Police charged a 51-year-old Florida man with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

NOV. 23, 2025

1:48 a.m. Police were called to a residence on Bungay Road for a verbal dispute.

7:15 a.m. A caller told police a man fell in a parking lot at a business near North Street and appeared to be having medical issues. Police said the man was transported to the hospital.

12:05 p.m. Police conducted traffic enforcement on Colony Road.

4:01 p.m. A Westerman Avenue resident reported that a work vehicle was stolen from his business.

5:02 p.m. A Walnut Street resident told police he was receiving harassing phone calls.

8:32 p.m. Police assisted a driver with a disabled vehicle on Bank Street.
