Ansonia police received 229 calls for service and made eight arrests.
Monday, Nov. 24, 2025
8:41 a.m. While responding to a report of shoplifting on West Main Street, police charged a 69-year-old man with first-degree trespassing and sixth-degree larceny.
12:59 p.m. On Third Street, police charged an 18-year-old Milford man with third-degree mischief and disorderly conduct.
3:54 p.m. Police were called for a medical assist on Platt Street.
5:40 p.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.
8:00 p.m. An officer charged a 30-year-old Wethersfield man with driving the wrong way on a one-way street, disobeying an order to stop, and driving without a license on Columbia Street.
Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025
10:53 a.m. Police carried out two search warrants at smoke shops in town. Regulation violations were found and the shops were closed temporarily, according to Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch.
3:26 p.m. A caller reported suspicious activity on Larovera Terrace.
9:11 p.m. Responders were alerted that a fire alarm went off on Lester Street.

6:15 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on West Main Street.
9:52 a.m. Police received a report of an abandoned motor vehicle near Jewett Street and Vine Street.
6:44 p.m. Police charged a 38-year-old Seymour woman with sixth-degree larceny on West Main Street.
6:57 p.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries near Main Street and East Main Street.
9:55 p.m. While responding to an accident on Division Street, police charged a 41-year-old woman with assault on a public safety official, evading responsibility, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.
9:58 p.m. Police charged a 43-year-old woman on Clarkson Street with second-degree threatening, third-degree assault, and disorderly conduct.

12:15 a.m. A car reported stolen was recovered.
2:45 a.m. Police charged a 36-year-old homeless man with interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.
10:31 a.m. Police were called to Fairview Street for a report of credit card fraud.
6:56 p.m. Police responded to a civil/juvenile matter on Crescent Street.
8:44 p.m. Responders were called to Glen Drive after a caller said they saw an outside fire down the road.

11:54 a.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop near Kingston Drive and East Main Street.
12:19 p.m. Police received a report of illegal parking on Woodbridge Avenue.
