Patricia “Billie” Tasco, age 79, of Shelton, entered into rest on Monday, December 1, 2025, her heart full after being surrounded by the love of her family for her final months. She was the cherished partner of 30 years of Thomas Cingo, the beloved mother of Colleen Chiappetta and husband Michael, Shannon Tasco, Taryn Tasco and fiancé Abel Draper, and Darcy Dreyer and her husband Doug, and the adoring grandmother of Keira Chiappetta.

A foundation of generous love and empathy defined Billie. Her inherent kindness was often cited during a distinguished career as a Registered Nurse with a warm bedside manner and profound compassion. This trait extended to all creatures great and small. She was devoted to her cherished doggies, Matisse, Taylor, Teesa and Gigi, and the rescuer of numerous others. She had an extraordinary green thumb, cultivating vibrant and colorful gardens full of flowers and vegetables. She was also profoundly creative, and often expressed herself through the craft of crocheting, taking photographs and meticulously scrapbooking cherished vacations and family events. Billie also enjoyed watching the majestic sight of horses thunder around the track, her Yankees Bronx bombing their way to victories and the hope of a new Giants’ season. Above all, she loved sharing stories, laughs and joy with Keira and her girls.

Billie treasured her family history and her lineage from Norway and Ireland. She was the daughter of the late William and Hazel (Soop) Ford and was predeceased by her brother, William Ford. Born in Passaic, NJ, on March 26, 1946, Billie called Shelton home for over 30 years.

Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Friday from 4:30 PM to 7 PM. On Saturday, a funeral service will be held directly at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Shelton at 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to the American Lung Association and the ASPCA.
