Judy (Wolff) Soboleski, age 79, Woodbridge, entered into eternal rest on Friday December 5, 2025. She was the wife of the late Joseph Soboleski. Judy was born in Derby on October 26, 1946 as the daughter of the late Ole and May (Hill) Wolff, graduated from Shelton High School, and was a Trumbull resident of more than 35 years.
She spent most of her professional career as an Administrative Assistant at Sikorsky Aircraft and retired from there. Judy and Joe were inseparable and spent every moment together. Some of their cherished memories include having dinner while paddling on the lake, feeding the wild animals like racoons daily in their yard with bushels of bananas, attending High School reunions at the Derby Elks Club, and hosting family and friends at their house for holidays. She also enjoyed landscaping, watching movies, and playing trivia and card games.
Judy is survived by her loving niece Sandra Weber (husband Heinz and son Jurgen), her brother Robert Wolff (wife Susan), brother-in-law Ralph Cocco, her best friends Lee and John Plonsky, and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Eleanor Mae Hardisty (husband Gary), her niece Laura Grabinski and her cherished rescue cats Tiger and Big Papi (named by Joe, who was a huge Boston Red Sox fan).
Judy’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Coachman Square Assisted Living in Woodbridge, especially the Harbor Neighborhood, for the great care she was given. Special recognition to Lucy, Lisa, Lesley, Lindsay, Sarah, Lauren and all the other compassionate caregivers which are too many to mention. Their professionalism, transparent communication and providing the comfortable feeling and peace of mind to know that Judy was always in very good hands was highly appreciated. Also, a big thank you to the team at Enhabit Hospice for their support in the last 2 weeks..
Friends may call on Thursday December 11, 2025 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby.
