Darlene M. “Dolly” (Mieczkowski) Gilleo, age 77, entered eternal rest on December 17, 2025, at Bishop Wicke Health Center in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of forty-three years to Kevin G. Gilleo.
Born in Bridgeport on June 20, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Clarisa (Corcoran) Mieczkowski. Darlene was raised in Bridgeport and graduated from Central High School before settling in Naugatuck in 1995. For many years, Darlene was employed as an Environmental Laboratory Technician for York Analytical Laboratory in Stratford until her retirement in 2013. Darlene, alongside her husband Kevin, combined her love of motorcycling and her passion for helping others by actively participating in numerous charity rides over the years. She was an avid bowler and participated and competed in many area leagues and tournaments. Darlene loved gardening and watching her favorite sports team, the New York Giants.
In addition to her husband Kevin, Darlene leaves to cherish her memory, daughters, Dawn Rodriguez (William) of Florida and Nicole Bundock of Naugatuck, grandsons, Brandon Madar (Brianna Greene) and Kevin Bundock (Alyssa Johnston), and great grandchildren, Lilah and Willow Bundock. She was predeceased by her brother, Raymond “Skip” Michaels and infant great-granddaughter, Valerie Bundock.
