SEYMOUR — Police released a video and image of a white pick-up truck that was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run Sunday (Dec. 21).
The victim, an 18-year-old woman, was struck by the vehicle’s passenger-side mirror, according to police. She was sent to the hospital after the incident. Click here for the original Valley Indy story.
On Tuesday (Dec. 23) Seymour police posted an image and video (embedded at the bottom of this post) to Facebook along with the following message:
The Seymour Police Detective Bureau is asking for the community’s help with an investigation into an incident that occurred on December 21, 2025, at approximately 6:29 p.m. An 18-year-old female pedestrian was struck by the passenger-side mirror of a pickup truck while walking near 127 Bungay Road.
The vehicle in question—believed to be a gray or white pickup truck of unknown make and model—left the scene after the incident. The video and photo below show the suspect vehicle. A witness saw the truck traveling from Bungay Road onto Canfield Road, then Botsford Road, before accelerating toward Mountain Road. No license plate information or driver description is available at this time.
The pedestrian sustained injuries to the right side of her face, affecting her cheek, teeth, and eye area. She was transported to Bridgeport Hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
The pickup truck may have damage to its passenger-side mirror, as plastic debris believed to be from the mirror was recovered at the scene.
