SHELTON – A man died Monday morning (Jan. 5) in a single-vehicle rollover accident on Route 8 North in Shelton.
Oliver Armando Cruz-Ortiz, 20, of Bridgeport, was pronounced dead on scene, according to a report from Connecticut State Police (CSP).
According to the report, state troopers were dispatched to Route 8 North at around 9:08 a.m. Jan. 5 for a report of a single-vehicle accident near Exit 12A. The vehicle, an Infiniti Q50, had driven off the roadway, struck a light pole and metal sign, then rolled over, the report says.
The car had previously been reported stolen out of Newark, N.J.
