Wendy Smith Boylan, age 73 of Ansonia, CT passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Wendy is predeceased by her parents, Paul and Jane Smith and her beautiful daughter Sarah Boylan. She leaves behind her husband Joseph Boylan, Sr., and twin sons, Mark D’Amico and wife Shannon, and Matthew D’Amico and wife Carrie, and stepson Joseph Boylan, Jr. and wife Tammy, her siblings, Garry Smith, Robin Smith Feulner and husband John, and Jason Smith and wife Michele, along with her grandchildren, Jessica and Nicholas D’Amico, Isabella D’Amico and Dominick Boylan, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Wendy was born in Windsor, CT on September 11, 1952, and graduated from Plainville High School, where she was a proud cheerleader. After high school, she attended the University of Connecticut for two years. She worked as an account representative in the billing department of Waterbury Hospital for 25 years.

Wendy loved drama, theater, sewing, jewelry making, crocheting, and sharing stories about her family. Wendy cared deeply for animals, especially her cats. In recent years, Wendy became a football fan and enjoyed spending time watching the Jacksonville Jaguars. Wendy was resilient, vibrant, talented, and creative. She will be forever cherished by those who were blessed to love and be loved by her.

A memorial service celebrating Wendy’s life will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 7:00pm in Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Ave. Ansonia, CT. Friends are invited to visit with her family from 5:00-7:00pm, prior to the service. Interment will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 10:00am in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, 219 New Haven Ave. Derby, CT.
