Margaret Rita Miner, age 96, entered into rest on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Shady Knoll Health Center in Seymour. She was the devoted wife of the late LeRoy James Miner. Margaret was born in Bridgeport on July 31, 1929, daughter of the late Henry and Bertha (Orlovsky) Fohrenbach, and lived most of her life in Shelton.
She worked as an egg handler for Master Freight in Hartford before her retirement.
She is survived by her nephews, Richard Fohrenbach and his wife Linda, and William Fohrenbach, great nephews, Richard Fohrenbach, Jr. and Robert Fohrenbach and several dear friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Henry Fohrenbach, and her sister, Katherine Fohrenbach.
The Riverview Funeral Home in Shelton is entrusted with her funeral arrangements. Friends are invited to join the family at a Mass of Christian Burial directly at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave, Shelton, on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 10 AM.
