
THE VALLEY – The Valley Indy has published THOUSANDS of community announcements since 2009.
We are happy to do so, but we humbly ask you to follow the submission guidelines below so that we (the two employees) can process your submissions quickly.
Add ValleyIndependentSentinel@gmail.com to your distribution list. Use that email to send announcements.
If you look at our site, you’ll see every post has a photo on top and text underneath.
- So, send the announcement as a plain-text email or plain-text Word doc. That is, type up a few paragraphs (full sentences) explaining the announcement or event. Try to include who, what, where, why, and whether there is a fee to enter or attend.
Tip — if sending a Word doc, keep it simple: no columns or embedded logos.
- Next, attach a jpg photo to the email. The photo can be a flyer or some type of image connected to your announcement. Only submit images that you are authorized to use. Do not embed the image inside a Word document or PDF.
Tip — on our site, horizontal (rectangular) photos fit. Vertical – not so much.
DO NOT JUST SEND A FLYER OR PDF. Doing so means that we have to crop your image and write your announcement, extra steps we might not be able to take.
