Stephen W. Reyher, age 74, entered eternal rest on March 3, 2026, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Passander) Reyher.
Born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on July 15, 1951, he was the son of the late Warren and Elaine (Kelley) Reyher. Stephen lived most of his life in Ansonia graduating from Assumption School and Ansonia High School class of 1970. He was employed as an oil technician for New Haven Oil Terminal for many years until his retirement. Stephen was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent together, especially time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed vacationing in Lake George taking in the beautiful scenery and making lasting memories. Stephen was an avid fan of UCONN basketball, attending three NCAA Women’s Final Four games. He will be lovingly missed.
In addition to his wife Deborah, Stephen leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Loriann Thopsey (Graham) of Milford, brothers, Timothy Reyher (Maryanne) of Durham and Matthew Reyher (Valerie) of Southbury, sister, Cynthia Filek of Shelton, daughter-in-law, Stefanie Reyher of Seymour, grandchildren, Stephen Reyher, Lily Evelyn Reyher, Oliver Thopsey and Lucy Thopsey along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Stephen W. Reyher II, brother, Mark Reyher and sister, Catherine Reyher.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 1:00-4:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 3:00 pm a funeral service in celebration of Stephen’s life will take place with Reverend Jeffrey Gubbiotti officiating. Burial will be private.
