Ronald R. Flokos, age 85, entered eternal rest on March 5, 2026, in the comfort of his home. He was the beloved husband of Dolores (Grassi) Flokos.
Ronald was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 23, 1941, son of the late Evangelos and Esther (Sedarian) Flokos. He was a resident of Bridgeport before moving to Naugatuck in 2001. Ron was a 1959 graduate of Bullard Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport. He was employed as the support staff for in flight testing in the Government Property Division of Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for thirty-one years until his retirement in 2006. Ron will be remembered for his quirky one liners and great sense of humor. He enjoyed taking cruises with his family and bird watching from the bird feeders in his yard. His favorite hobby was collecting baseball memorabilia, stamps, and coins. He was an avid fan of his favorite team, the New York Yankees.
In addition to his wife Dolores, Ron leaves to cherish his memory, son, Angelo Flokos (Rosalind) of Naugatuck, daughter, Susan Torok (Joseph) of Naugatuck, brothers, Richard Flokos (Jean) of White Oak, GA and Arthur Flokos (Corinne) of Middlebury, sister, Sara Flokos (Christine Taylor) of Fairfield, grandchildren, Joseph Torok (Evette Martinez) of West Hartford, Justin Torok (Jessica) of Wolcott, Lot Flokos of Labelle, FL and Jaidyn Flokos of Labelle, FL along with several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 4:00-7:00 pm in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 10:30 am, a prayer service in celebration of Ron’s life will take place in the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby.
