Gladys B. (Bartoszewicz) Wojtowicz, age 101, entered eternal rest on April 5, 2026, at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Wojtowicz.

Born at home in Ansonia on February 11, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Bronislaw and Anna (Kulnis) Bartoszewicz. Gladys resided in Ansonia for most of her life. She was employed as an administrative assistant for Philips Medical Systems in Shelton for many years until her retirement in 1990. Family was Gladys’s greatest joy. She treasured time with them and lived for the moments spent with her loving grandsons. Her favorite past times were watching old movies, listening to classical music, quiet times reading a good book, cooking and loved to sew. When she was young, she made all her own clothes and later often made clothes for her children. She was a devout communicant of St. Joseph Church in Ansonia.

Gladys leaves to cherish her memory, sons, John W. Wojtowicz, Edward T. Wojtowicz (Karen) of Newtown, and David J. Wojtowicz Sr. (Lizabeth) of Seymour, daughter, Suzanne J. Wojtowicz of Lexington, KY, grandsons, David Wojtowicz Jr. of Seymour, Matthew Wojtowicz of Seymour and John “Jack” Wojtowicz of Chicago, IL along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Bronislaw “Ben” Bartoszewicz and sisters, Genevieve Mrozowski, Scholastica Zebrowski and Stella McMillan.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday April 10, 2026, from 9:00-10:30 am in the chapel of SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Her funeral will then proceed to St. Joseph Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow in St. Michael Cemetery in Ansonia.
