Dale E. Cotner, age 66, entered eternal rest on April 10, 2026, at the West Haven Veteran’s Administration Medical Center with his loving family by his bedside.
Dale was born in Lewisburg, PA on August 14, 1959, beloved son of Robert Cotner Sr. of Virginia and the late June (Clinton) Cotner. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1978 until his honorable discharge in 1993. Dale was currently working as a Quality Assurance inspector at Bitek Research Corp. in Naugatuck. He deeply loved and cared for his family and many friends and would always be willing to help with anything they needed. Dale was a member and especially enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Slovak Club in Ansonia and was also a member of the Elks Club in Derby and the Lemko Club in Ansonia. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his father Robert, he leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Dale E. Cotner Jr., a brother, Charles Cotner of Wrightsville, PA, a sister, Mary A. Huff of Roxboro, NC and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by brothers, Robert Cotner Jr., and William P. Cotner and sisters, Pamela S. Cotner and Lois Williams.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral by meeting directly at the columbarium in the State Veteran’s Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane in Middletown, CT on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 2:00 pm, where United States Army military honors will be rendered. A celebration of Dale’s life will take place at the Slovak Club in Ansonia and will be announced by the family.
