Samuel D. DiPoalo Jr., age 95, a lifelong resident of Ansonia, entered eternal rest on April 12, 2026, in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved and devoted husband of sixty‑eight years to the late Mildred “Millie” (Esposito) DiPoalo.

Born at home in Ansonia on May 17, 1930, he was the son of the late Samuel and Josephine (LaForte) DiPoalo. Sammy worked across several skilled trades throughout his career. He was employed in baking for Uncle Dominic, where he first met his beautiful wife Millie, as well as metal spinning at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford and later worked for Textron Lycoming in Stratford. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish his own metal‑spinning business, which he proudly operated until his retirement in 1994. Sammy loved spending time with family. Whether it was sharing a delicious pasta meal or cheering on his favorite New York Yankees, he found the greatest joy in those moments spent together.

Sammy leaves to cherish his memory, his loving daughter, Deborah Kraynak, and her husband, Joseph Jr., of Ansonia; his cherished grandchildren, Joey Kraynak III, and his wife, Megan, and Mary Aldred, and her husband, Brandon; his adored great‑grandchildren, Joseph IV, and Maxwell Kraynak along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Millie, he is predeceased and now reunited in eternal peace with, his siblings, James, Phillip, Josephine, Anthony, and Rose.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday April 17, 2026, from 8:30-9:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME  62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. His funeral will proceed to Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Entombment will immediately follow in Mount Saint Peter Mausoleum in Derby.
