Delia Lucarelli Fortier, age 94, recently of Seymour, entered into rest on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. She was the cherished wife of her first husband, the late Fabio Lucarelli, Jr., and her second husband, the late Robert Fortier. Delia was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Canada on September 8, 1931, daughter of the late Alipio and Elvira (Boni) Minardi, and she lived most of her life in Derby.
She was a bookkeeper by trade and started with Lynette Hardware before working for Sikorsky Aircraft until her retirement. Delia liked to sew and knit, and she loved to bake. Her first priority was always her family and she loved to spend time with her children and their families.
She is the beloved mother of Fabio Lucarelli, III, Debra Amodio, and Linda Orazietti (Dan), proud grandmother of Ann-Elise Lucarelli, Fabio Lucarelli, IV, Steve Malafronte, Carla Stitz (Doug), Gina Orazietti, and Jessica Orazietti, and the great-grandmother of Decker and Cameron Stitz. She is also survived by her brother, Guido Minardi, and several nieces and nephews. Delia was predeceased by her sister, Bruna Foran.
Friends may greet the family at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Her procession will leave the parlor for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church at 11 AM on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.
