Antonio “Tony” Bromley, 81, of Huntington, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Tony was larger than life, with an unmistakable presence that filled the room. He lived life his way—charismatic, determined, always a kid-at-heart, and unapologetically himself. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, and a kind and supportive grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Born in Bridgeport on August 15, 1944, he was one of eight children of the late Harold Bromley and Mary Mariconto Bromley. Tony was a self-made, hard-working man with a steadfast commitment to creating a better life for his family, no matter what. He built his own legacy from scratch, including a home, a landscaping business of 40 years, and a wonderful family and loyal group of friends.

His business, Family Landscape, was truly a family one: his wife, daughters, brother, and nephews all worked alongside him at different times. At work, he was more than a boss, he was a role model and father figure.  Many will tell you, “He taught me everything I know,” including son-by-choice, John Pulgarin.

Just as strong as his work ethic was his heart—he was a loving grandfather, a loyal friend, and a constant source of humor, known for his laugh, playful pranks, and a stand-out sweet tooth—often sneaking treats to his grandchildren.

Tony adored his girls.  At the center of his life was Donna Reilly Bromley—his wife and sweetheart of 57 years. Their love was his strength and the foundation of the life they created. Together, they were true partners in every way, and their love only grew over the years.

He was deeply committed to, and proud of, his daughters (his “sweets”), Anissa and Deana, and their husbands, Matt Flesher of CA and Jorge Fernandez of VA, and their children. His greatest joy was being a grandfather — “Geegee” — to his girls: Phoebe Flesher, and Giana, Lilliana, Elena, and Cristina Fernandez, who carry forward his strength and humor.

Tony loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, birding, sitting on the front porch with his wife and toy Yorkie, Hercules, and frequent trips to Bill’s Drive-In.

In addition to his wife and immediate family, he is survived by his sisters, Mary Bromley of FL, Theresa (TT) Tiberio of CT; his brother, Warren Bromley of CT; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend and “brother from another mother,” Billy Roy. He was predeceased by his sisters Dolores (Dodo) Villafano, Carmela (Mela) Bromley, Katherine (KK) Munier, and his brother Harold Bromley.

Tony’s legacy is one of deep love, strength, and unyielding determination. He left an imprint that will be felt for generations.
