SEYMOUR — Families with young children in Seymour are invited to take part in an engaging evening of connection, conversation, and family fun at Community Conversations & Bring the Hoopla, taking place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Seymour Public Library (Downstairs).

Hosted in partnership with The Early Childhood Collaborative, LGP of Ansonia-Derby-Seymour-Shelton, and Bring the Hoopla, this special event is designed to bring local families together while gathering valuable community insight to help shape the future of early childhood services in Seymour.

The evening will begin with complimentary dinner for the whole family from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Following dinner, adults will participate in a guided focus group discussion from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, sharing their thoughts on the strengths, needs, and opportunities facing families with young children in the community. During that time, children will enjoy supervised activities led by BringtheHoopla.

Organizers say the feedback gathered during the event will play an important role in developing a comprehensive Community Plan – a roadmap that will help improve local programs, services, and funding opportunities in the years ahead.

“We want families to know their voices matter,” said event organizers. “This is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to directly influence how Seymour supports young children and families moving forward.”

Families must register in advance and registration will close on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.
