Michele A. Linane, age 58, a lifelong resident of Derby, entered eternal rest on May 1, 2026, at Griffin Hospital in Derby, with her loving family and friends by her side. She received her Angel wings and will be reunited with her Dad in Heaven.

Born in Derby on April 10, 1968, she was the daughter of Barbara A. (Wilson) Linane of Derby and the late Donald V. Linane. Michele was employed as the director of A Child’s Garden Daycare in Fairfield for thirty-one years. She was known by everyone for her kindness and generosity. Along with her friends, the “Chic’s of 86”, Michele had a cherished tradition of donating throughout the year to St. Vincent de Paul to help all those in need. She was a devout communicant of St. Michael’s Church in Derby where she served as a greeter. Michele was an integral part of the Derby 350th team. With her superior organizational skills and attention to the most critical details, she made all the events successful, especially the East Derby Tree Lighting. Her kind spirit will be deeply missed.

In addition to her mother Barbara, Michele leaves to cherish her memory, loving sister, Kellee Paulillo (Steven) of Lancaster, PA, aunt, Margaret Lennon of Derby, best friend, Lisa McPhie (Shane) of Monroe, Godson, Nicholis Imbrogno of Fairfield, childhood friends, Lynn Forcier, Jennifer Lenart, Kathy Kiley, Amy Evans, Frances Jesulaitis, Jill Lanese, Melissa Jerrell, Carla Schneider and Julianne Staffieri, her favorite little ones, Mario and Lorena Garofalo and Alina and Mia Gerardi along with all of the children from A Child’s Garden, loving cousins from Connecticut to Florida and many close family friends.

The family would like to thank the ICU doctors and nurses at Griffin Hospital, especially Dr. Marya Chaisson, for their kind and compassionate care of Michele.
