Ronald James Lundgren, age 65, of Shelton, peacefully entered into rest on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, surrounded by family and friends in his home. Ron was born in Bridgeport on September 21,1960, son of the late Kenneth and Helen (Pero) Lundgren, and was a lifelong Shelton resident.
Ron was the owner of K. Lundgren & Sons where he had worked alongside his father and brothers as HVAC professional. He was an exceptional hard worker who excelled at anything he did. He also enjoyed rebuilding cars and had just completed a full restoration on his 1973 Camaro. Ron was well known for his friendships and his availability to lend a hand whenever needed, his unwavering integrity, his quick wit, and his ability to make anyone feel welcome. Whether sharing a laugh, lending a hand, or offering wise advice, he had a gift for making people feel valued.
Ron is survived by his brother, Terrence Lundgren, his sister, Pam Ljungquist (James Barrett), a sister-in-law Margaret Lundgren, a brother-in-law James O’Donnell and several cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Richard Lundgren, and his sister, Cynthia O’Donnell.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 4 to 7 PM.
