William “Billy” Shafransky, age 70, of Shelton entered into rest on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He was the devoted husband of 37 years to Cynthia (Botti) Shafransky.
Billy was born in Milford on November 5, 1955, son of the late William and Gloria (Lukasik) Shafransky. He was the general manager at Jones Tree Farm for many years until his retirement. He loved spending his free time outdoors and going fishing at different streams and ponds. Billy enjoyed the casinos and vacations to the Caribbean. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
Billy was the beloved father of William Shafransky and his wife Hillary, Matthew Shafransky and his wife Frances, a loving grandfather to Savannah, Adelaida and Matthew Shafransky, and brother of Francis Shafransky and the late Barbara Mas.
On Thursday, May 14th, friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Friday, May 15th, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM at St. Joseph Church. His burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
