Boguslaw “Bill” G. Wilczak, age 83, beloved husband of Marie A. Narowski Wilczak of New Hartford, formerly of Derby, died peacefully on May 15, 2026 at Amberwoods of Farmington, with his family by his side. Born in Kolbuszowa, Poland on November 7, 1942, he was the son of the late Antoni and Josephine Chmielowiec Wilczak.

Though he had a lifelong love of his homeland, Mr. Wilczak emmigrated from Poland in 1960 and resided in Derby for nearly 60 years, before moving to New Hartford. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War era. He attended the University of Bridgeport. He was a member of St. Michael Church of Derby. He was an avid sports enthusiast and had a love/hate relationship with the NY Mets.

In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by his sons, Mark Wilczak and his wife Darcy of Seymour and John Wilczak and his wife Melissa of New Hartford; sister, Elizabeth Wilczak and her partner Robert Sandler of MA; cherished grandchildren, Shaylee, Colton and Corey Wilczak of Seymour, and Lukas and Kara Wilczak of New Hartford.

A Mass of Christian Burial, MEETING DIRECTLY AT CHURCH, will be celebrated on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM in St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Avenue, Derby. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Derby.
