Dorothy Palazzi, age 95, a Derby resident for most of her life, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Sunday May 17, 2026 at Wesley Heights in Shelton. She was born in Derby on December 28, 1930 the daughter of the late Ildebrando and Guerina (Bassi) Palazzi. She graduated from Derby High School in 1948 and went on to work as an executive secretary first at the W.E. Bassett Company and later at Gant Shirt Company and Black & Decker among others.
Ms. Palazzi was a dedicated volunteer at Griffin Hospital in Derby for many years and loved to travel. She visited many countries and over 40 States in the United States of America. She is survived by her dear niece Mary Pepe. She was predeceased by her sisters Derva Palazzi and Norma Pepe, her brother-in-law Anthony Pepe, and her nephew and Godson William Pepe.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 21, from 10 AM to 11 AM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. Her funeral service will begin in the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
