Lisa Ann Carlson-Melanson, 63, of Worcester died Saturday, May 30th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. She leaves a son, Sean Melanson of Worcester; a daughter, Kerrin Strong and her husband, Jeremiah of Stonington, CT; A brother, Bruce Carlson and his wife, Anna of Beacon Falls, CT; A sister, Sondra DelMastro and her husband, Peter of Monroe, CT; two grandchildren, Grace and Jonah; and several nieces and nephews.

She was born in Derby, CT the daughter of Charles and Claire (Morin) Carlson. Lisa graduated from Shelton High School and went on to dedicate her career to helping others through her work in healthcare administration.

For 26 years, she worked for the VNA as a medical biller and coder, a role she truly loved. Her strong work ethic, dedication, and passion for her profession left a lasting impression on her colleagues and those fortunate enough to know her.


A member of St. Stephen’s Church, Lisa found comfort and community through her faith.
In her free time, Lisa enjoyed playing card games, especially Gin, and was always ready for a spirited game of cribbage. Whether gathered around a card table or spending quiet moments with loved ones, she valued the simple joys of life.


Above all else, Lisa cherished the time she spent with her family. They were the center of her world and her greatest source of happiness and pride. She will be remembered for her devotion to her loved ones, her kindness, and the warmth she brought to those around her.


Lisa’s memory will be lovingly carried on by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.


Her calling hours are Wednesday, June 3rd from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, followed by her funeral service at 7:00 p.m.

Burial will be on Thursday, June 4th with a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. in Mount St. Peter Cemetery, 219 New Haven Ave, Derby, CT.
