Andrea Patricia Borgognone, age 88, of Woodbridge entered into rest on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Willows of Woodbridge. She was the devoted wife of the late Peter Roger Borgognone. Andrea was born in Bridgeport on January 28, 1938, daughter of the late Andrew and Irma (Skutel) Stempel and was a Shelton resident for 53 years before moving to Woodbridge to live with her son Keith and daughter in law Kristen.

She was a radiographer for Dr. Jamie Simkovitz for many years prior to her retirement. Andrea was a member of the Lauralton Hall Alumni Association. Andrea will always be remembered for her witty sarcasm. Andrea’s time was well spent reading and watching the New York Yankees and UCONN Women’s Basketball. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family.

The family would like to thank Willows of Woodbridge staff and Yale-New Haven Health – Health at Home Hospice nurses for their care and compassion for Andrea during this time.

She was the beloved mother of Deborah (Robert) Turtoro, Peter (Brenda) Borgognone and Keith (Dr. Kristen) Borgognone and sister of Dorothy Scinto, Andrew “Chuck” (Michele) Stempel and Cynthia (Tim) Walus. Andrea was the loving grandmother of Robert (Gina) Turtoro, Tyler (Jessica) Turtoro, Spencer (Sabrina) Turtoro, Michael (Nicole) Beaudwin, Tierryn (David) Borgognone, Brett (Paige) Borgognone and Brynn (Brian) Borgognone and great grandmother of 8 great grandchildren. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother-in-laws Frederick Scinto, Joseph Arsenault and Peter Carbone. Also predeceased by sister-in-laws Cecilia Arsenault and Gloria Carbone and niece Gloriana Tardie.

On Wednesday, friends may call from 9:00 – 10:15 AM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at St. Lawrence Church. Her burial will follow at Lawn Cemetery.
