Edwin J. Jacek, 94, entered into eternal rest at the VA Medical Center Monday June 8, 2026. He was born in Derby on December 8, 1931, son of the late Anthony and Victoria (Lizon) Jacek.
Ed owned and operated Treskunoff Studio of Ansonia for 45 years. He graduated from St. Michaels Grammar School and the Derby High School in 1949. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War, receiving the Korean Service Metal with Bronze Service Star. He was a member of St. Michael’s Parish Council, past president of the CT Professional Photographers, member of New England Professional Photographers Assoc., and National Association of Professional Photographers. Ed would buy and sell furniture for New England Store Equipment and Treskunoff Fine Art Shop of Ansonia.
Survivors are several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Henry Jacek, Edmund J Jacek and sister Wanda Kochiss.
His funeral service will leave the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St Ansonia at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday June 17th to St Michael’s Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery with full Military Honors.
