Susan L. (Barto) Boroski a 70 year old Ansonia resident and wife of Joseph M. Boroski Sr., passed away peacefully on June 5. She was born on May 27, 1956 in Derby, daughter of the late Eugene F. Barto and Jean (Stokes) Barto.
Susan worked many years as a teacher’s aide in the Ansonia school system and for the YMCA’s After School Program until her retirement. She was an avid reader and animal lover. She followed the Pittsburgh Steelers, the N.Y. Yankees and the Ansonia Chargers. Most of all, she was a patriotic American who enjoyed riding along in her brother’s military vehicle in the local parades.
In addition to her husband, Susan is survived by her sons, Philip and his wife Gina Barto of Milford, Michael Polletta of Seymour, Edward and his wife Danielle Boroski of Forest, VA and Joseph and his wife Nicole Boroski Jr. of Seymour, along with her bonus children Joe and his wife Namwan of Deep River, Christa and her husband Chad McAfee of Woodbury, Joanna and her husband Jeff Desmarais of Watertown, Michael Boroski of Watertown, and her brother David E. Barto of Shelton, 19 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Friends may call to pay their respects on Sunday, June 14th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 15th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
