Christa A. Wilson, age 85, of Shelton, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Apple Rehab Hewitt Health. She was the devoted wife of 55 years to the late Edward Wilson, Sr. Christa was born in Mannheim, Germany on June 14, 1941, daughter of the late Fritz and Emma (Ziegler) Hohrein, and lived in Shelton for most of her life.
She worked for Jones Family Farm and Timex for several years and prior to that she was involved in the former Huntington School. She was also very active within the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for many years.
Christa is the beloved mother of Edward W. Wilson, Jr., Stephen R. Wilson and his wife Joann, and Jennifer S. Wilson, and proud grandmother of Thomas Wilson. She is also survived by a sister, Gisela Ledell and her husband Edward.
Friends may greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Thursday, June 25th from 5 to 7 PM. On Friday, a funeral service for Christa will begin in the parlor at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
