SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from June 22, 2026 through June 28, 2026.

Seymour police received 197 calls for service and made six arrests.

JUNE 22, 2026

9 a.m. A resident told police his car was vandalized while parked at the Riverview Diner on Roosevelt Drive.

10:38 a.m. An employee from Henny Penny gas station on New Haven Road (Route 67) told police a man in a blue Infinity was passed out in his car near the air pump. The man got a ride home from a family member.  

1:16 p.m. Police charged a 41-year-old Seymour man with second-degree violation of conditions of release.  

5:11 p.m. Police charged an 18-year-old Waterbury man with violation of a protective order and disorderly conduct.

6:13 p.m. A caller told police a female was slumped over the wheel of her car in the Klarides Village parking lot on Bank Street. The woman was transported to the hospital.

JUNE 23, 2026

1:29 a.m. Police issued a written warning to a driver for doing 55 mph in a 30 mph zone on Squantuck Road.

8:26 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on New Haven Road (Route 67) near Cogwheel Lane.

2:19 p.m. Police were called to Country Club Road for a report of an injured skunk.

5:06 p.m. Police charged a 69-year-old Seymour man with violation of a protective order.

6:46 p.m. A caller told police a raccoon was stuck on a window at a residence on New Haven Road (Route 67). An officer was able to free the raccoon.

JUNE 24, 2026

3:44 a.m. A caller told police a large white dog dragging a leash was roaming around on Bungay Road and she was concerned the dog was going to get hit by a car. Police said the dog was gone upon their arrival.

9:25 a.m. Police conducted radar enforcement on Maple Street.

12:27 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on West Street.

5:38 p.m. A resident told police she was scammed trying to buy a cat off of Facebook.

8:45 p.m. A resident told police a package she received from eBay was stolen.

JUNE 25, 2026

8:40 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at Bank and Main streets.

4:58 p.m. Police conducted stop sign enforcement on Chatfield Street.

5:58 p.m. Police charged a 34-year-old Seymour woman with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

10:32 p.m. Police were called to a residence on Roberts Street for a verbal dispute.

JUNE 26, 2026

10:13 a.m. A Mayfair Avenue resident told police a transformer on her property popped and sparked. There was no smoke or fire, but the fire department responded and determined the problem was caused by a squirrel that was electrocuted.

3:59 p.m. A Manners Avenue resident told police about an ongoing problem with a neighbor who parks his car on the street and partly blocks his view from backing out of his driveway.

8:22 p.m. A caller told police there was a stray dog located at Citizens Engine Co. firehouse. The animal control officer picked up and took control of the dog.  

9:08 p.m. Police attempted to stop a blue Malibu on Bank Street for misuse of plates, but the vehicle fled on nearby Route 8.

JUNE 27, 2026

7:59 a.m. Police conducted speed enforcement on West Church and Emma streets.

9:32 a.m. A Carriage Drive resident called police about an after the fact dog bite. Police notified the animal control officer.

12:38 p.m. Ansonia police requested assistance with a road rage incident.

1:58 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Main Street.

8:36 p.m. A caller told police someone at a vape shop offered her marijuana and she wanted to file a complaint.

JUNE 28, 2026

7:31 a.m. A caller told police there were three injured or dead chickens in the middle of the road near French Street and Highland Avenue.

9 a.m. Police charged a 19-year-old Seymour woman with third-degree criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.

3:50 p.m. Police conducted speed enforcement on Brookfield Road.

4:31 p.m. Police charged a 19-year-old Oxford woman with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plate, failure to carry operator license, illegally operating a motor vehicle without minimum insurance, illegally operating a motor vehicle under suspension and failure to obey a stop sign.

6:19 p.m. A caller told police a man was lying unconscious in the area of South Main Street. An officer checked on the man who left the area without incident.
