Cheryl Berardi, age 77, loving mother, Gigi, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and wife of 44 years to the late Arthur Berardi, passed away on July 10.

She was born Oct. 12, 1948 in Derby, daughter of the late Stephen Hodio and Louise Johns Hodio of Ansonia. She was a graduate of Ansonia High School and worked at the telephone company in New Haven before settling in Seymour where she built her life and career at the local cable company.

Cheryl’s world was built around her love of family and friends, and her favorite pastime was sharing memories and laughing with all the people that made up this world.

She leaves behind two daughters, Jodi Sandora & her husband Robert of Prospect, and Kimberly Conroy & her husband Thomas of Milton, MA, four grandchildren, Maggie & A.J. Sandora and Emme & Maeve Conroy, in-laws William, Carol and Francis Berardi, nieces Debbie Schietromo & Rachel Cohen and nephew William Berardi and many grand-nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by many loved ones including her sister Sharon Martin, niece Susan Geissler and brother-in-law Lawrence Berardi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of The Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour.  Friends are invited to calling hours from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin Street  Ansonia, before the funeral leaves for church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. To honor Cheryl and her love of all things colorful we ask that attendees consider dressing in bright colors. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
