BEACON FALLS, CT: David R. Scott, 93 of Beacon Falls, he entered peaceful rest on July 13, 2026, he was the beloved husband of 59 years to the late Maureen (Fraser) Scott. Mr. Scott was born December 22, 1932 in Marlboro, MA, son of the late Raymond and Marjorie (Donovan) Scott. Mr. Scott was retired from the Virjune Manufacturing Co. in Waterbury where he was the Plant Manager for many years; he formerly worked as a Toolmaker at the Risdon Co.
Mr. Scott served on the Region 16 Board of Education, and the Board of Selectmen in Beacon Falls; he was a member of the Beacon Falls Lions Club, and was a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers. Mr. Scott had built a replica Fire Engine which he enjoyed displaying. In the past David enjoyed driving in stock car races at the former Savin Rock Raceway. He was also an avid golfer.
Mr. Scott leaves his loving family including his son, Raymond Scott (Jennie) of Beacon Falls; his daughters, Tracy Scott of Southbury, Randi Bellemare (David) of Beacon Falls, and Christy Falkoff (Ray) of Branford; grandchildren, Joseph and Jaime Bellemare, Patrick (Olivia) and Katie Falkoff, Jennie Valentine, Nicholas Bousquet, Sophia and Corey Murphy, and Andrew (Briana) Scott; also great grandchildren, Mason Scott and Eliose Falkoff. He also leaves a son-in-law, Douglas Bousquet, and a daughter-in-law Cristina Scott. He was predeceased by his son David, his daughter, Nicole Bousquet, and his granddaughter, Mackenzie Bousquet.
Calling Hours are Wednesday July 15th from 9:30 to 11 AM at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour. A Funeral Service in celebration of David’s life will immediately follow at 11 AM. Interment will be at St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Memorial Gifts may be sent to the Beacon Hose Co.
