SEYMOUR — The town’s police department published an advisory on social media this week warning residents about car break-ins.
The Facebook post said there were a “series” of vehicle burglaries — and one automobile theft — between 12 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. Monday, July 13. The post was issued the same day of the incidents.
The crimes happened in the area of Mead Farm Road, Bungay Road, Canfield Road, Mountain Road, Peach Farm Road and Botsford Road.
The public was asked to review home security cameras. Anyone with information should call the detective department at 203-881-7638 or email spddetectives@seymourpolice.org.
Tips can be anonymous.
Police also reminded the public to take steps to protect their valuables.The tips included:

• Remove valuables and bring them inside
• Never leave keys or key fobs inside your vehicle
