SHELTON — Three condo units in the Aspetuck Village Condominiums were destroyed by fire Wednesday night.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital to be treated for dehydration, according to a Facebook post from the Shelton Fire Department. The post did not mention other injuries, but said the residents were able to get out by themselves.
Firefighters were called to Fox Run, a road within the condo complex, at 10:34 p.m. July 22.
Smoke and flames were visible to the first units on scene. A second alarm was transmitted to get more firefighters to the scene.
“It took several hours to extinguish the fire as it had extended to all 3 of the condominiums on the strip,” according to the post.
The Shelton fire marshal’s office is investigating the fire’s cause and origin.
