John C. Mandanici, III, age 53 of Shelton, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Bridgeport Hospital. John was born in Bridgeport on January 13, 1973, the cherished son of John C. Mandanici, Jr. and Eileen (DeLuca) Mandanici, and was a lifelong Shelton resident.
He was an licensed arborist and operated Huntington Tree Service with his brother for over twenty years. John was also an avid and skilled chess player.
In addition to his parents, John is survived by his sister Katie Sninsky and her husband Jeff and his brother Joey Mandanici and his wife Dayna, cherished nieces and nephews Megan, Tim, Cole, and Emma, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves his loyal boxer companion, Odin.
The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements. Friends are invited to join the family for a Funeral Mass on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 10 AM at St. Lawrence Parish, 505 Shelton Ave in Shelton. Burial will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Stratford.
