John “Jack” Steven Dirgo, 63, of Milford, passed away on July 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). Born on August 2, 1962, he was the son of Marge (Wasko) Dirgo and the late Edward Dirgo.
Jack was known for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and ability to make others laugh. He was the life of the party, always ready with a joke and a smile. A skilled carpenter for more than 40 years, Jack took great pride in his craftsmanship and earned the respect of all who knew his work. Above all, Jack was a devoted family man. He loved spending time with those he cherished most, was an exceptional cook, and built lasting friendships through his kindness, generosity, and genuine love for others.
In addition to his loving mother, Jack is survived by his significant other, Kathy “Kat” Blake; his son, Austin Dirgo and his partner, Liana Martin; his daughter, Madison Dirgo; his grandson, Tristan Dirgo; his sisters, Margaret Dirgo, Dawn Blalock (Victor), and Pat Jones (Jack); his nieces and nephews, Summer Long (Chris), Michelle Bates (Norman), and Eddie Dirgo; his great-nephew, Ryder Bates; his uncle, John Wasko; his cat, Schmedly; many cousins; and countless cherished friends. In addition to his father, Jack was predeceased by his brothers, Richie and Eddie Dirgo; his niece, Katie Jones; and his brother-in-law, Norman Francoeur.
Friends and family may call from 12pm to 4pm on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT. Interment will be private.
