Sarah Collins, age 97, of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at Griffin Hospital in Derby.
She was the devoted wife of 57 years of the late Robert W. Collins, Sr. Sarah was born in Birmingham, AL, on March 24, 1929, daughter of the late Ed and Margaret Taylor, and she made her home in Shelton for over 40 years.
Sarah was caring and devoted. She worked for years as a CNA. She raised a loving family and treasured spending her time with them.
She is the beloved mother of Brenda, Janice, Patrick, and Donna, and is survived by many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sarah was predeceased by two sons, Robert and William, a brother, Ed, and her sister, Hattie.
Friends may greet the family and pay their respects at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Friday, August 7th, from 10 to 11:30 AM. Her funeral service will begin in the parlor at 11:30 AM. Burial will immediately follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Shelton.
