Ernesto K. Aldave, age 74, of Shelton entered into rest on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at St. Vincent’s Medical Center. He was the devoted husband of 35 years to Sandra (Lundgren) Aldave, the beloved father of Matthew Ryan Aldave, and son-in-law of Margaret Lundgren. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews and extended family in Manila.
Ernesto was born on Jan. 22, 1952 in the Santa Ana district of Manila Philippines, son of the late Filemon and Miguela (Kempis) Aldave. Ernesto was predeceased by a brother Elmer Aldave and two sisters Evelyn Aldave and Erlinda Aldave.
He started his career as a chef working for Holland America Cruise Line for 10 years traveling the world. Later, he worked for Connolly’s Restaurant in Shelton for 20 years. He spent the final years of his career working for the Wilton Public Schools until his retirement. Ernesto enjoyed cooking, traveling and loved spending time with family and friends.
On Tuesday, August 11, friends may greet the family from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton.
