DERBY: Gary M. Kryvonis Sr., age, 69, entered eternal rest on August 2, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne (Cruite) Kryvonis.
Born in Bridgeport on September 1, 1956, he was the beloved son of Nora (Diaz) Shea of Derby and the late Robert Kryvonis. Gary was employed as a quality control inspector for Vanguard Products Corporation in Danbury for many years, until his retirement. He was a loving, hardworking family man who valued spending time, laughing and making memories together. He especially held dear to his heart the time spent with his grandchildren. Gary was a true green thumb and could grow almost anything. He was meticulous in tending to his garden and beautifully manicured yard. Gary enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, taking long rides and had a special affinity for the oceanside. He had a soft, gentle heart that cared deeply for all animals.
In addition to his wife Suzanne, and mother, Nora, Gary leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Gary M. Kryvonis Jr. (Brandi) of Naugatuck, Mario R. David (Tracey) of NC and Michael C. Kryvonis of Naugatuck, daughter, Monica Griffing (Larry) of Prospect, brothers, Keith Kryvonis of Derby and Stephen Shea (Cheryl) of Derby, grandchildren, Mason Kryvonis, Nolan David, Nathan Kryvonis, Grayson Griffing, Autumn Griffing, Logan Kryvonis, Chase Kryvonis and Willow Griffing, uncle, John Diaz (Diana) and aunt, Dolores Mahoney, along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Kryvonis Jr.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service in celebration of Gary’s life on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 am, at River Valley Baptist Church, 335 Main Street in Ansonia.
