ANSONIA — American Legion Post 50 of Ansonia has erected their 9-11 display at Veterans Park, Main Street, Ansonia.
Post 50 invites the public to visit the memorial to pay homage to those who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001 at the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, and those on United Airlines Flight 93 whose plane crashed near the burough of Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
It is a place to also remember all the first responders, military members, and their families whose lives were subsequently affected.
The display will remain in place until Monday, Sept. 14.
